A sales engine, built from zero.
17 deals in 60 days.
Luxodd had a strong product and nobody selling it full time. I built the list, worked it by phone and email, ran the demos and closed, as the only salesperson.
No team. No list. No playbook.
Luxodd makes connected arcade cabinets with built-in payments and licensed games. When I joined in February 2025 there was no sales team, no lead list and no sales process. There were also three very different buyers: venue owners who host the cabinets, game publishers who license titles, and payments partners who move the money.
Each of them needs a different reason to say yes. My job was to find those reasons, and then to turn them into signed deals, alone.
Seven moves, one person.
Every stage had an owner, and that owner was me.
Define who buys
Three buyers, three pitches. I wrote a separate pitch for venues, publishers and payments partners, and nine tailored partner proposals and term frameworks the CEO uses in negotiations.
Pick the accounts
I cut 21,600 Oregon liquor-permit holders down to 687 venues worth a call, before a single email went out.
Build the database
4,993 lead records across five segments: 4,175 venues, 599 operators, 121 studios, 79 partners and 19 technical contacts.
Find the buyer
Generic inboxes do not buy cabinets. I enriched 2,366 leads with a direct email, using Apollo, Lusha and an AI-assisted send-and-log workflow I designed.
Call and email
After the fit check, I worked every account two ways: up to 40 calls a day, with short, specific emails written for each segment alongside. Many of my deals started on a phone call. My email reply rate is 12.8%, against a cold email average of 3.4%.
Show the product
22 product demos, online and in person, including the floor of the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, where I set up 16 meetings across sales, partnerships and media.
Close and hand over
17 commercial relationships closed in 60 days. Then I trained two junior BDRs to run the same system.
The phone and the inbox, together.
After a fit check, I work every account two ways. Many of my deals started on a phone call.
Check the fit
Nobody gets a call until the account makes sense: the right type of venue, the right size, a real buyer. Of 21,600 permit records, 687 made the cut.
Call
Up to 40 calls a day. A live conversation is the fastest way to find the need and earn the demo. Many of my deals started on a phone call.
Short, specific emails written for each segment, working alongside the calls. My reply rate is 12.8%, against a cold email average of 3.4%.
Follow up
Calls and emails keep working together until I get a clear answer, yes or no.
Demo and close
22 product demos, online and in person, and 17 deals closed in 60 days.
“No sales team. No lead list. No playbook.
I built all three.”
What you get when you hire me.
I build from nothing
Give me a product and a market. I will find the buyers, call them, write the outreach and fill the calendar.
I sell to different buyers
Venue owners, publishers and payments companies all signed. I change the pitch, not the standard.
I leave a system behind
The list, the sequences and the playbook stay with you, and so do the two BDRs I trained.
