PanaceaCase study · Panacea · Account management

50 client accounts.
About 30 at a time.

Alongside the email channel, I owned Panacea’s client and partner accounts: the people whose offers we promoted, and the partners who promoted ours. Over the role that was more than 50 accounts, around 30 live at once.

The situation

Every account wanted the same list on the same week.

Panacea’s audience of 200,000+ subscribers was valuable to partners, and every partner wanted a send. The job was to decide who got the list, when, and with what offer, so that partners saw results, subscribers kept opening, and revenue kept growing.

That is account management with a calendar as the scarce resource.

What I did

Run the calendar like a book of business.

01

Own the relationships

Discovery, offer research, scheduling, creative and reporting for each partner account, as their single point of contact.

50+
02

Run the reciprocal calendar

Cross-promotion partnerships, where we mailed for them and they mailed for us, planned so no segment was over-mailed.

03

Grow repeat buyers

Segmented retargeting drove repeat purchases, including for Cancer Decoded, a Panacea client.

04

Close the loop

Customer feedback went back to support and product, and account results went back to partners.

05

Build the team

I trained and led two team members so the calendar ran without me.

2

“The list was the asset.
The calendar was the business.”

What it shows

What you get when you hire me.

01

I manage many accounts at once

About 30 live relationships, each with its own expectations.

02

I protect the asset

Sends were planned so no segment was over-mailed and open rates held.

03

I grow what I keep

Repeat purchases, not one-off blasts.
